| [20:33] | DWRL: Hi,can someone point me to the icon naming specs? |
| [20:33] | DWRL: I got this: https://specifications.freedesktop.org/icon-naming-spec/latest/ |
| [20:34] | DWRL: But in the icon sets used by TDE I have icon names such as '1rightarrow', and while the mimetypes at the sized folders look as expected 'audio-x-generic', in the 'scalable' subfolder I suddenly have 'sound' and no mimetypes... |
| [20:34] | DWRL: >Does TDE have some icon names from before the fdg-standard was fully formed, or some KDE3 archaisms? Is there documentation...? |
| [20:40] | SlavekB: The names came from the time before forming XDG. The names have already gone through several renames for compliance with XDG, but there may still be something that has not yet been renamed. |
| [21:06] | DWRL: I seen. The most important questions for me then are: |
| [21:09] | DWRL: 1: Whats with the difference in icon naming for pixel sized vs scalable folders in the themes? Since I found those in CrystalSVG, and they aren't in the index.theme, are those.... what exactly? Unneeded? Are those names used / expected anywhere? |
| [21:10] | DWRL: 2: I simply ensure all the names in the other CrystalSVG-Dirs (48x48, 32x32 etc) are covered and be done with it? I'd prefer documentation, but I can work with that if needs be. |

| [22:06] | SlavekB: I can't say why some svg icon names are different - I don't have a complete overview of it. |
| [22:07] | SlavekB: In any case, there is an intention for both bitmaps and vector icons to get in harmony with XDG. So if the names are used somewhere and it is advisable to put the icon in harmony, then it will simply be useful to rename the icon and change the places where the name is used. |
