[11:32]pitriss: Hi guys, is there something in trinity what can handle wifi switching automatically included wpa_supplicant settings? On recent Devuans Wicd is not present so I am searching for best alternative.. And first best idea is something within trinity
[11:36]SlavekB: In Trinity is available only tdenetworkmanager, but I'm afraid build of networkmanager is not available in Devuan?
[11:39]pitriss: exactly.. because its part of systemd
[11:40]pitriss: do you think this https://code.launchpad.net/wicd could be packaged within trinity?
[11:41]pitriss: (wicd port to python3/gtk3)
[11:42]pitriss: I just found thism but I will need to compile it somewhere else as I don't want to clutter my freshly installed laptop.. or again, set up dev lxc container
[11:43]pitriss: I might try to dl packages from experimental.. far from optimal but might work
[11:47]SlavekB: From debian changelog in experimental:
[11:47]SlavekB: Upload to experimental to get a broader testing base of the python3 port and the dhcpcd5 changes. Not yet fully functional again.
[11:50]pitriss: But their version is year old when compared with that launchpad repo
[11:51]pitriss: even in experimental.
[11:51]pitriss: Ridiculous
[11:59]pitriss: That devils creation systemd harmed linux more than I expected.. there is almost no alternatives for network manager now..
[12:41]SlavekB: Now I look and it seems to Network Manager can be used in Devuan! As equivalent for libpam-systemd you can use libpam-elogind.

[18:01]pitriss: SlavekB: thanks for the research.. I will look on that
