[18:14]davidb_sk: I've recently updated my Exe system to TDE R14.0.10. However, now when I try to connect to my Internet server with Konqueror and FISH I get a "protocol died unexpectedly" error.
[18:15]davidb_sk: This never happened to me using the FISH protocol until after the update. Any ideas what could have happened or how I can trouble shoot this issue?
[18:19]mirda: davidb_sk: Hey, I haven't any experiences with FISH, but is there something in server log files? Or maybe something would be in ~/.Xsession-errors
[18:19]davidb_sk: Not sure, but I'll go see what I can find.
[18:22]davidb_sk: Yes, there is something recorded in .Xsession-errors. It starts off with this: tdeioslave: ####### CRASH ###### protocol = fish pid = 5170 signal = 29
[18:23]mirda: or some idea - try to connect to FISH server with some other client on the same PC
[18:24]mirda: maybe there were some updates of ssh, when you updated TDE, so possible changes between versions of ssh or something
[18:27]davidb_sk: Could be the case. I'll try another FTP client and see what happens. I like FISH because it integrates so well with the TDE desktop.
[18:30]davidb_sk: I uploaded a larger clip of the error in this file https://www.thegrove.in.nf/fileshare/xsession-fish-error.txt
[18:38]denk: sigsegv, bad or null pointer because something changed (in a code or in the protocol), also it could be some unexpected/unhandled (new) field in the data stream
[18:39]denk: to be sure what's wrong you need to add some debug info or just debug it using gdb (or what you use under penguin)
[18:50]davidb_sk: I just tried using KFTPGrabber and it crashed with a "signal 6 (SIGABRT)". I'll have to install gdb. I'll also try another non-TDE FTP client and see what happens.

[18:58]davidb_sk: Filezilla works, but only using FTP, not SFTP or SSH. SSH command line is also refused connection. So, I'm wondering if this isn't some odd timing and my ISP has changed something at the same time I updated TDE.

[19:03]denk: you broke the Internet! again!
[19:10]davidb_sk: But the red light on top of the box is still flashing!
[19:14]davidb_sk: Thanks for the advice, everyone! I'll see what I can figure out and perhaps check with my ISP to ensure they didn't turn something "off" on me.

[22:48]selk: The build of tdebindings insist in have aRts, and suggest to pass --without-arts if you don't have it (which is my case)
[22:48]selk: But when I try to build using --without-arts option, it gives error
[22:48]selk: Previously, it says that 'mcopidl' is not found
[22:49]selk: For now, I created a symlink to 'dcopidl' naming 'mcopidl'
[22:49]selk: It is building now...
[23:12]selk: Build error on "smoke"
