pulsetrayxfce: I heard TDE is nice but the issue is it uses QT3 with custom patches but biggest of all, "networking stack" isnt really secure

pulsetrayxfce: I am a NsCDE/FVWM3 user but I am thinking about trying TDE but afraid of security issues

drez: qt3 is still fine

drez: I don't know about the networking thing

drez: I use devuan so I make use of the tools included, mainly setnet.sh

drez: It's just a dialog shell script

drez: 4 gb

pulsetrayxfce: I am using 1+512 machine

drez: I bet this would run fine on 2 gb

pulsetrayxfce: 1+512 as in 1.5 gb of ddr2 sodimm

drez: well remember tde is expecting 2008-tier hardware

pulsetrayxfce: it's fun hearing to screech of 80 gig sata

drez: I think it may be too little for a smooth experience

drez: I'd use this with 2 gig, bare minimum

drez: it's fun but honestly, on a computer like that

drez: nscde, or dwm, or soemthing like that

drez: trinity is really good when you have a bit more power than that

pulsetrayxfce: Except. NsCDE makes me use three finger scroll as opposed to side scroll on touchpad

pulsetrayxfce: Is there a setting about that in Trinity

drez: the control center is huge

drez: makes me feel like I'm on a real desktop again

drez: tde is pretty windows-y too though
