[17:17]Pozitigor: Hello! How can I use Scroll lock keyboard button in TDE? I've tried to use Xmodmap but it didn't do anything.
[18:03]ceux: scroll lock
[18:03]ceux: what does that do
[18:03]ceux: Pozitigor: general suggestion, use xev(1) to check what keysym is getting hit when you press that button
[18:03]ceux: for your xmodmap
[18:03]ceux: should be something like state 0x0, keycode 78 (keysym 0xff14, Scroll_Lock), same_screen YES,
[18:06]Pozitigor: scroll lock turns on the backlight on my keyboard
[18:07]Pozitigor: yes, the output is the same as yours
[18:07]ceux: laptop?
[18:08]ceux: sure thats not an Fn + Scroll Lock that activates it or ?
[18:08]Pozitigor: no, I'm on pc
[18:11]Pozitigor: on mate, after I insert "add mod3 = Scroll_Lock" in .Xmodmap file in my home directory, scroll lock activates just by pressing on scroll lock button
[18:24]ceux: Pozitigor: TDE may not be applying the modmap
[18:24]ceux: you can run xmodmap by hand to apply those settings ex
[18:24]ceux: xmodmap ~/.xmodmaprc
[18:24]ceux: if it works thne, we know wassup.
[18:27]Pozitigor: yeah, that works, thank you. I guess i should add xmodmap ~/.Xmodmap to TDE startup?
[18:50]ceux: could , or recreate your xmodmap settings in tde
[18:53]Pozitigor: ok, thanks again!
[19:07]ceux: no prob. gl
