[13:13]JAGIELSKI: I've been finally able to install TDE, however I've noticed that i18n packagesfor Polish are missing. That can't be due to lack of translations as I remember using KDE3 in Polish, so should be able to get at least partially translated TDE.
[13:13]JAGIELSKI: Also it would be useful to have meta i18n packages for each language that would download that language for all apps.

[13:16]JAGIELSKI: On another note, just using it for about 10 minutes reminded me why I used to love KDE so much. I like Plasma, don't get me wrong, it has great customization, however it is SLOW and memory-hungry. On idle it takes 5 gb
[13:17]JAGIELSKI: (about 33% of my total RAM), whereas TDE takes only 3.3GB and that's with System Monitor running which itself takes about 200MB, so probably 3.1GB

[13:18]JAGIELSKI: So TDE is much more reasonable in terms of memory usage.
[13:19]JAGIELSKI: Also it is fast in how windows appear. In Plasma, I often have to wait few seconds for the window to show itself even if the app is launched. On TDE, with same apps, it's instant
[13:21]JAGIELSKI: The only thing missing is the ability to draw your own widgets/window decorations, basically Aurorae/Kvantum, but done right.

[14:49]JAGIELSKI: A question: How do I get Trinity to not override KDE apps with the TDE variants unless I specifically want the TDE variant? My issue is with Kate, which TDE version is inferior (no LSP) to the KDE one and which I can't just uninstall TDE variant of because apparently it will take the entirety of TDE with it.

[14:50]JAGIELSKI: While irc logs are available if I need to go, checking them is less convenient than checking a thread in a forum.

[15:02]JAGIELSKI: No, I meant the fact that TDE Kate opens even when I click the menu item or type kate into the terminal. Like, I have to specifically type /usr/bin/kate to get KDE Kate.
