[17:23]averageMelons: hello, is it normal that I can't sign in on the TDE Gitea Workspace? asking because i have this bug where whenever I unfocus my browser (usually Chromium-based or Firefox) scrolling stops working and I have to minimize, then restore the window to get it working again and I can't make an issue for it
[17:27]Fat-Zer: averageMelons: no, AFAIK it's not normal...
[17:31]Fat-Zer: do you have problems signing in or signing up?
[17:33]Fat-Zer: hmm... wierd... I don't see an option for signing up at all now... it might be Slavek disabled it as we had some bot issues lately...
[17:38]Fat-Zer: as for the issue, it seems all gtk apps don't get scroll events when they are in background... and I've noticed too that firefox from time to time stops receiving them even then it's in foreground, thought I can't reliably reproduce it each time
[17:39]agneli: Fat-Zer: dev-libs/libr-9999::trinity-official, should this build properly, please?
[17:39]agneli: https://paste.debian.net/plainh/d767d487 - i have this issue
[17:40]agneli: never really had time to investigate
[17:40]agneli: it is there since quite some time for me
[17:41]agneli: and the other problem is with some missing repository iiuw
[17:42]agneli: trinity-base/tdesu-9999::trinity-official
[17:42]agneli: "fatal: repository 'https://scm.trinitydesktop.org/scm/git/tde-common-admin/'; not found"
[17:43]agneli: https://paste.debian.net/plainh/0587881d
[17:43]agneli: i am hoping this is something known that I would be able to fix easily with a bit of help :)
[17:45]Fat-Zer: agneli: libr should build fine, might it be that you didn't updated trinity-base/trinity-cmake recently?
[17:47]Fat-Zer: as for tde-common-admin I've noticed it too, I suspect it's overzealous antibot protection... but I should ask Slavek about that...
[17:49]agneli: arghhh of course I did not rebuild it since quite some time
[17:49]agneli: thank you!
[17:49]agneli: let me test
[17:52]agneli: and of course you were right
[17:52]agneli: i keep forgetting about this cmake package ocassional rebuilds
[17:54]averageMelons: sorry for being late but I can reproduce the issue by simply opening a TDE app (or any app in general), then going back to the browser
[17:54]averageMelons: it's pretty reliable on my end
[17:54]Fat-Zer: well... just use smart-live-rebuild ;) though the admin submodule issue may complicate things a bit
[17:54]agneli: :)
[17:55]Fat-Zer: averageMelons: as for Gitea sign-up, the form is available at https://mirror.git.trinitydesktop.org/gitea/user/sign_up
[17:55]averageMelons: thank you
[17:55]Fat-Zer: there seems to be no links to it from normal UI
[17:56]Fat-Zer: but it seem to work fine
[18:03]averageMelons: scrolling also seems to fix itself the moment i click into a website's element (e.g. button, textbox, etc)
[18:04]averageMelons: submitted an issue, o7
[18:12]Fat-Zer: averageMelons: try export GDK_CORE_DEVICE_EVENTS=1, it might workaround the issue
[18:13]Fat-Zer: *before running firefox
[18:18]averageMelons: works as long as i click anywhere within the window now, assuming that's normal behavior (despite scrolling in a window while another has focus switches the focus to the window that has been scrolled in) o7
[18:20]averageMelons: but if i close, let's say, konversation before i click into the window the problem persists
[18:26]Fat-Zer: averageMelons: the scroll doesn't work in a background window without a click, am I understanding correctly? hmm... that's odd... that fixed right that issue for me...
[18:27]Fat-Zer: btw, I don't see the issue you've created...
[18:31]averageMelons: this one i believe https://mirror.git.trinitydesktop.org/gitea/TDE/tde/issues/285
[18:32]averageMelons: also the issue is that scrolling doesn't work in a background window without a click *and* the fact that if the foreground click is closed the scrolls are sent nowhere
[18:33]averageMelons: also sorry about that ping i'm not familiar with konversation nor classic irc
[18:47]ceux: averageMelons: you can submit to the ML as well i guess
[18:47]ceux: not preferred but i think i didnt get into gitea for similar reasons and was able to at least submit an issue/patch
[18:52]Fat-Zer: averageMelons: oh... I see... yes, I can reproduce that... but for me GDK_CORE_DEVICE_EVENTS=1 workarounds all the issues... doesn't it for you?
[18:52]Fat-Zer: as for ping nwm... I didn't even noticed it before you said...
[18:57]averageMelons: i'm not really noticing the effects of that environment variable ¯\_(;-;)_/¯
[18:58]Fat-Zer: hmm... just for the record, do you export it and run the app from the same terminal?
[19:00]averageMelons: tried that, still happening
[19:01]Fat-Zer: hmm... odd...
[19:16]Fat-Zer: averageMelons: for the record, do you have a mouse or a touchpad? and what X11 driver do you use? libinput or something else?
[19:18]averageMelons: Fat-Zer: both mouse and touchpad, i have both xf86-input-libinput and libinput installed
