[13:29]houston: I'm getting a strange bug where only Chromium windows get a title bar when they're opened, has anyone come across anything like this before? I think it might have something to do with my somewhat particular DPI configuration
[13:30]houston: not just titlebars actually, but window decorations in general

[14:50]micheleC: @houston: sounds like you have a problem :-)
[14:51]micheleC: is twin running correctly? has it crashed?
[14:51]micheleC: what win decoration theme are you using? sounds like it is not loaded correctly perhaps
[14:55]houston: okay, I fixed it. you'll never believe this
[14:55]houston: so it turns out that TDE was automatically launching devilspie2. I had one existing bit of config in there: "test.lua"
[14:56]houston: the contents are: undecorate_window() \n maximize() \n set_window_workspace(0) \n raise()
[14:56]houston: I guess you can call that user error? I mean it's doing exactly what I told it to haha
[14:57]houston: this would have been from when I was testing personal single-application "kiosk" setups with different window managers
[14:59]houston: I would have forgotten entirely about devilspie2 if it hadn't miraculously popped up in my xinit log, apparently I have some syntax error in the way I've got it written, but that error wasn't enough to stop it from doing what it's being told to

[15:02]houston: man, this kind of stuff is exactly why I've avoided desktop environments for so long so. but trinity just looks so good

[23:01]ceux: houston: lol
[23:01]ceux: houston: i know chrome can set a flag to do its own title car right
[23:01]ceux: and twin respects that
[23:01]ceux: 15:02 < houston> man, this kind of stuff is exactly why I've avoided desktop environments for so long so. but trinity just looks so good
[23:02]ceux: cause it is ;)
