[07:25]micheleC: @pitriss: TDE/yakuake#26 solves the wrong terminal issue.
[07:25]tde-bot: [TGW][TDE/yakuake] #26 - Fix DCOP selectedTerminal() returning -1
[07:25]tde-bot: https://mirror.git.trinitydesktop.org/gitea/TDE/yakuake/pulls/26
[07:25]micheleC: "dcop yakuake DCOPInterface selectedTerminal" will now return 0 instead of -1
[07:26]micheleC: problem was caused by the introduction of the Konsole namespace
[07:27]micheleC: as we suspected ytd

[09:36]pitriss: micheleC: oh thank you very much.. when it will be packaged? I assume it is automated for the PTB?
[09:43]SlavekB: The builds for PTB are now paused, as the builders are now busy building the final packages for R14.1.7.
[09:46]SlavekB: Now I'm waiting for MicheleC to check for another instance of TEWidget usage in Yakuake to make sure the patch is complete. And once the PR is merged, I'll then submit the Yakuake build for PTB. It's not a big package, so it won't cause much delay.

[11:55]micheleC: @pitriss: do you recall is spltting the terminal in yakuake worked? it seems to be broken here
[11:56]pitriss: micheleC: i do not recall but i will try it now
[11:58]pitriss: micheleC: splitting works for me.. keyboard shortcut works.. question if it should have own context menu split > vertically | horizontally is different question :)
[11:58]pitriss: but it work for me
[12:00]micheleC: does it? what do you get? a full session?
[12:01]micheleC: here it's like the session is closed and I get an empty terminal window, no shell
[12:02]pitriss: it is wonky when i tested it
[12:02]pitriss: ctrl+d on one session seems to bubble through all
[12:02]Ianosh has joined
[12:03]micheleC: ctrl+d seems to work fine here, just close the current session
[12:03]micheleC: but the split does not work
[12:03]micheleC: can you test again when PTB packages are updated?
[12:03]micheleC: just in case I broke something else in the latest commits...
[12:04]pitriss: I definitely will :) But split works here sometimes.. to have left & right was brokewn, split to top and bottom worked for me.. I was able to run command in both
[12:06]micheleC: ok, if split is not working fine when you test again, please file an issue and I will have a look
[12:06]pitriss: Of course.. it is intermittent now.. One split works, second as it decides.. mostly not
[12:08]pitriss: micheleC: https://www.pasteboard.co/qLtX3vrU2JKy.png
[12:08]pitriss: taken right now
[12:08]micheleC: here it is consistently not working, like the session in the terminal is closed after the split
[12:09]pitriss: chytrex@JeffreyFast:~$ ~> yakuake --version
[12:09]pitriss: Qt: 3.5.0
[12:09]pitriss: TDE: R14.2.0~[DEVELOPMENT]
[12:09]pitriss: Yakuake: 2.8.1
[12:09]pitriss: chytrex@JeffreyFast:~$ ~>
[12:10]pitriss: but as i said.. ctrl+d in one part will close whole tab slowly... I literally see parts quitting
[12:10]micheleC: ok, maybe something is broken on my system (it's PTB+) or I have broken something recently in Konsole and you haven't got it yet
[12:11]micheleC: in any case it seems it is something to look at during R14.1.8 dev window and to test when I do changes in Konsole (there are definitely a lot more coming)
[12:12]pitriss: Yep I can say.. as I can compare with debians Kde plasma 6 (i chosen that in work as it might be easier to handle and I was truly naive)
[12:13]pitriss: But yes kde plasma have more advanced things I would love to have here.. in tde.. knsip is awesome screenshotting tool :)
[12:14]pitriss: or support of webp and such in ksquirrel and the rest would be nice
[12:21]SlavekB has joined
[12:33]micheleC: mistery solved, the split was broken here due to local changes
[12:33]micheleC: it now works fine again
[12:35]pitriss: micheleC: I will definitelly test it when i get new package :)
[12:35]pitriss: as it misbehaved a little here.. but it is not a part of yakuake I would use often
[12:40]micheleC: ok
[13:16]micheleC: fix merged into R14.1.7, though we will probably revisit for R14.1.8 to make it more robust
