[15:26]blu256: To anyone interested, I have been working on Portals API integration with TDE. This allows us nice things like having TDE file dialogs in applications which support the Portals API (e.g. Chromium and Firefox).
[15:26]blu256: I have created a prototype and uploaded it here due to my TGW repo limit: https://github.com/blu256/xdg-desktop-portal-tde
[15:27]SlavekB: blue256, that sounds great!
[15:28]blu256: It's "fresh out of the oven" right now, so I'd appreciate if anyone could test it too.
[15:28]blu256: I've also taken the liberty to create an issue about it: TDE/tde#160
[15:28]tde-bot: [TGW][tde] #160 - Integration with XDG Portals API
[15:28]tde-bot: https://mirror.git.trinitydesktop.org/gitea/TDE/tde/issues/160
[15:29]SlavekB: I thought it would be great to create these "portals", so it's great that you're working on it.
[15:30]blu256: Yes, I also think so. Implementing FreeDesktop standards allows us to integrate better with non-TDE apps
[15:30]SlavekB: I have increased your limit of the repositories on the TGW.
[15:31]blu256: Thank you, do you want me to re-upload the code there?
[15:32]SlavekB: It would be good for the code to be in TGW, because we can assume that sooner or later it will be suitable for incorporation under the TDE umbrella.
[15:32]blu256: Ok, will do
[15:32]SlavekB: probably you can use "import" from GitHub.
[15:33]SlavekB: (create new repository as migration from existing)
[15:34]blu256: Wow, it worked :)
[15:36]blu256: Have to go now...
[15:36]blu256: Goodbye Slavek
