[12:21]SlavekB: We observe that sometimes there are very slow responses, although the load is not so high that it should have such consequences.
[12:21]micheleC: lots of requests from "AI" robots putting VPS server under heavy load
[12:22]blu256: @micheleC they don't respect robots.txt, do they?
[12:23]micheleC: yeah... few weeks ago it was the same with other robots. Slavek has been doing his best to block them out

[12:29]SlavekB: For example, I blocked a client with an absolutely absurd agent string to turn out that it is a "correct" MS Edge agent string :)

[12:32]blu256: clearly user agent blocking is dangerous unless its something really obvious like go-http-client

[12:33]SlavekB: We have already blocked access to CGIT, Gitea and Weblate. Now I see that robots are also processing commits history on https://mirror.git.trinityktop.org/patches/ - this interface also uses cgit as backend.
