[14:06] | limaru: Does anyone know how I can put things in autostart with the Trinity tools? I would like the desktop pet (AMOR) to be autostarted |
[14:06] | limaru: In general, the music player controller applet also doesn't automatically stay in the panel after a restart, and KSensors does not display things in Kicker until I manually put it on again |
[14:53] | denk: place a file into directory ~/.trinity/Autostart |
[14:54] | denk: it could be a *.desktop file or a link to it |
[14:55] | denk: I started this way monitoring program and kmail at my work under OI, it should work for you too |
[14:59] | limaru: Thank you! :) For some reason I assumed it'd be somewhere in the trinity control center but I can just put the desktop files in the autostart, youre right |
[14:59] | limaru: I still wonder why there's no volume control applet for Kicker though, at least not from what I can see |
[15:02] | denk: typical error for "why something does not exist" is ENOTIME (EBUSY) |
[15:03] | limaru: fair :P but, like, controlling my volume has to have been a feature in kde 3.5 too, i'd expect it in a DE more than, say, the crazy eyes applet :D |
[15:03] | limaru: I'm willing to package and contribute to one too, just wondering if it's still there already and I am just blind |
[15:06] | SlavekB: In the upcoming TDE R14.1.0 there will be an systray application for hardware monitoring - this will allow mount / umount from the tray icon. |
[15:06] | limaru: oh that's amazing c: what name is that under on git? i think about contributing |
[15:07] | SlavekB: It is part of tdebase. |
[15:07] | limaru: thanks! i'll look into the recent commits |
[15:34] | limaru: I don't have that much of a good grasp on the utilized programming languages but I'll slave away to complete the German translation at least C: |
