[17:44]Gamerappa: is it normal that when i try to switch my refresh rate to 165hz, the graphics get garbled?
[17:47]denk: it depends on the hardware, I guess
[17:48]Gamerappa: it doesn't occour on KDE5
[17:49]denk: start a pure X-server (with a xterm) and retest it
[17:49]Gamerappa: how do i do that
[17:50]Gamerappa: ok now that i think about it, this might be a nvidia issue
[17:50]denk: it is a platform specific question, the answer is the same
[17:50]Gamerappa: did tde always had issues on nvidia
[17:51]denk: I used nvidia and kde3 many years with a CRT under OI, there are no such issues
[17:52]Gamerappa: i see
[17:52]denk: then I switched to tde, also it worked fine
[17:52]Gamerappa: perhaps this is an incompatibility with my monitor then
[17:53]denk: I have some doubts
[17:54]denk: try to use xrandr to control it
[17:56]Gamerappa: hold on

[18:22]Gamerappa: ok i don't know
[18:36]Gamerappa: finally fixed it
[18:37]Gamerappa: for some reason TDE was setting garbled color correction settings
[18:37]Gamerappa: using the nvidia x server settings application let me reset the color correction settings
